Let's go live!

This is an early tech demo for the game "Teapot Adventures"

Slay the dragon, save the princess, happy ending. Being an adventurer sounded so simple. Instead you got robbed on day one and now everything absolutely sucks.

The game is in a very early development stage and basically just me figuring out the Twine Engine and having grand ambitions of creating a full text-based adventure RPG.

Feel free to give it a test and follow my journey of creating a triple AAA title with hyper-realistic graphics, epic action scenes and all the bells and whistles.  (Well... let's be real, this will be a quirky text-adventure by a guy who is creating his first real game.)

I welcome you to follow me on my path of turning Teapot Adventures into a real game.

Demo includes:

  • Basic inventory system
  • Basic trade system
  • Basic location system
  • Basic interaction system
  • Dummy combat system
  • Some early story integration

What's planned?

  • Combat system
  • Quest system
  • Full story implementation
  • More locations

Story Concept (not fully implemented):

Somehow you ended up here. Sleeping in an abandoned shack in a town called Shardville. That's not what you expected, when you left your parents home to go on an epic adventure. You were dreaming about slaying dragons, saving princesses - and maybe having some heroic fests and some exciting dates with bar maids and Amazon warriors.  Well, that didn't quite work out, did it? Instead you immediately  got robbed by four strange guys wearing absolutely ridiculous floppy hats with feathers in them. And then some mad old hag saved you and told you to find her teapot. Honestly, what is this world coming to? And to make matters worse, apparently everyone is expecting some sort of mysterious war to break out soon.  This is just ridiculous. Hopefully you stumble over that stupid tea pot soon and don't encounter any weird gnomes or other nonsense.  Is it really too much to ask for a princess and maybe a dragon or a magic sword or something? It seemed so easy in the Big Book of Heroic Tales that you used to read as a kid. The book never mentioned sleeping in abandoned shacks and having to collect random junk, just to survive. Seriousy.
